Large Wheel Kit

Many thanks to the team. We now have a much easier time launching and recovering our fleet of Weta trimarans here in Dubai. We've had three separate orders from DD which all went well. With some more boats arriving to join the fleet we will be in touch soon to get the next three or four sets sent from the USA to Dubai.

I launch my dinghy from a beach and struggled with the standard wheels. The large wheels make hauling up the beach so much easier. I had a different brand dolly so had to change the axle bracket, which was a simple task.

My wife and I launch our O'Day Widgeon from the beach using a Seitec dolly and were on the hunt for bigger tires that would make pulling it across the sand easier.

At first, I wasn't sure how these wheels would fit with our existing setup, but the included large wheel shafts easily attach. First, pull off the current tires; second, remove four screws on each side; third, pull out the older shafts; finally, insert the new ones and put the screws back in. It fits perfectly, and the new (surprisingly lightweight) tires click right into place.

Pulling the boat is easier, but it still takes some solid effort to get it up the beach, especially on low tide. Overall, we're happy with the investment.

I chose to pick up the tires in Portsmouth, RI. When I arrived, a member of their team quickly greeted me and even helped walk the tires out to my car. I should mention that I called to confirm the tires were what I was looking for prior and received a friendly and confident confirmation they were what I needed.

Worth the money if you're launching from sand, made the process so much easier. The smaller tires do great on paved surfaces, but had us stuck in the sand instantly.
